• Preserve and improve the quality and validity of AP Computer Science and Cyber exams, curricula, and professional development content • Lead assessment development and final approval of assessment items and forms across multiple test titles • Author, revise, review, and manage formative and summative assessment content and scoring materials • Train and collaborate with subject-matter experts, including college professors and secondary school teachers • Use generative AI appropriately in assessment authoring and review to improve efficiency, fairness, validity, and innovation • Translate between academics and psychometricians and collaborate on assessment development • Lead Test Development Committee meetings and resolve post-meeting content edits • Supervise Test Development Committee members as content contributors and reviewers • Lead annual AP Reading scoring events and produce publications for teachers and students • Monitor exam validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and reader reliability • Establish fair, reliable, and valid cut scores with psychometrics and AP Curriculum & Assessment staff • Train, mentor, and support course experts in assessment development, AI use, item banks, and stakeholder facilitation • Refine AP Computer Science and Cyber Course Frameworks and support development of new products • Present, speak, and moderate discussions with academic and membership audiences as needed • Travel 6–8 times per year plus up to two additional weeks for AP Reading
• Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, networking, or a directly related discipline required • Doctorate in the discipline strongly preferred • Fluency in Java • Expertise in computer science, cybersecurity, or networking • At least 10 years of experience in standardized assessment development or related work • Experience with digital assessment and teaching preferred • Strong oral and written communication skills • Solid technical proficiency and customer-focused mindset • Excellent organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, and proofreading ability • Ability to implement processes and procedures, manage project plans and schedules, and maintain tracking documentation • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively across all levels and give and receive constructive feedback • Ability to travel 6–8 times per year plus up to two additional weeks for AP Reading • Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States • Passion for expanding educational and career opportunities and mission-driven work • Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies and AI-driven solutions • Comfort learning and applying new digital tools independently and proactively • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills • Learner’s mindset and commitment to growth • Drive for impact and excellence, including data-informed decision-making • Collaborative and empathetic approach
