• Serve as an intermediate relationship specialist in a professional fundraising environment, focusing on cultivation and stewardship of mid-level donors and constituents. • Advance growth across product lines and achieve individual revenue goals. • Customize fundraising and cultivation activities and campaigns to generate revenue, increase retention, identify prospects, and acquire commitments or sponsorships. • Educate small groups of current and prospective donors about Compassion’s Christian child development ministry. • Build constituent relationships through personal visits, phone calls, proposals, presentations, and correspondence. • Set fundraising forecasts, relationship strategies, and timelines for constituents and qualified prospects. • Complete fundraising and stewardship reports for internal and constituent use. • Participate in Compassion tours, project visits, meetings, and special events, including constituent participation when appropriate. • Deliver speaking engagements advocating for Compassion or children in need. • Coach and provide expertise to other relationship managers as appropriate. • Uphold Compassion’s child protection standards, Code of Conduct, Cultural Behaviors, and ministry mission.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. • One to five years of relationship management, fundraising, sales, customer service, or account management experience. • Demonstrated responsibility for achieving goals and delivering measurable results. • Fundraising experience preferred; transferable relationship-based experience considered. • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills across phone, video, and written communication. • Ability to build trust quickly and personalize donor interactions. • Ability to initiate and lead conversations about charitable giving and invite deeper engagement. • Ability to manage constituent relationships strategically, including engagement plans and consistent follow-up across multiple channels. • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking skills. • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail and stewardship standards. • Emotional maturity, resilience, positive attitude, and service-oriented mindset. • Personal alignment with Compassion’s Christian faith and ministry mission, including a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. • Commitment to Compassion’s Cultural Behaviors and child-protection standards. • Ability to manage a portfolio of customers, donors, clients, or strategic accounts with performance or revenue goals. • Experience presenting to individuals or small groups, facilitating donor experiences, or representing an organization at events. • Experience with CRM systems, donor databases, fundraising reports, or relationship-management tools. • Ability to work independently with good judgment in a fast-paced setting. • Ability to travel up to 10% of normal schedule.
