📋 Description

• Provide daytime clinical coverage and rotating after-hours on-call support as part of a four-RN team • Perform asynchronous and synchronous clinical triage through secure chat, TalkDesk phone calls, and EHR tasks • Lead urgent symptom escalation and 911 critical incident workflows • Conduct clinical risk assessments, C-SSRS screening, crisis stabilization, and appropriate routing • Evaluate acute GI complaints and determine outpatient directives or emergency referrals • Manage, review, and clear high-volume lab and imaging results in AthenaOne • Communicate normal results and After Visit Summary directives using standardized macros • Summarize abnormal findings for APP review • Educate patients and coordinate specialized testing logistics • Process medication refills and pharmacy inquiries under standing orders and protocols • Resolve prescription submission, coverage, and prior authorization issues • Support APP inboxes during out-of-office periods, high administrative volume, and caseload surges • Review and prioritize patient cases, orders, and diagnostic results • Maintain documentation and communication logs for provider handoffs • Coordinate clinical and administrative message routing with Care Coordinators • Collaborate with Registered Dietitians and Behavioral Health providers on multidisciplinary GI care • Represent nursing workflows in interdisciplinary meetings and quality reviews • Monitor inbox metrics and identify workflow bottlenecks and inefficiencies • Contribute to process improvement and adoption of new technologies, lab-routing mechanisms, macros, and EHR updates

🎯 Requirements

• Active, unencumbered RN license • Willingness/ability to hold multi-state licensure as required by service line expansion • Experience in clinical triage, high-volume patient inbox management, or specialized GI nursing practice • Clinical expertise across IBD, IBS, H. pylori protocols, SIBO testing/education, elevated fecal calprotectin, and specialized lab monitoring • Ability to lead urgent symptom escalations and critical incident workflows, including 911 critical incidents and C-SSRS screening • Mastery of AthenaOne, Salesforce, Slack workflows, PagerDuty, and TalkDesk • Strong organizational skills for competing priorities during high-volume periods and provider OOO coverage surges • Experience in telehealth operations, asynchronous patient messaging, and multi-channel call management platforms (preferred) • Experience adapting to new software integrations and updated standing orders (preferred)
