Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Manage instructional programs for elementary students in an online public school • Support the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing and synchronous instruction • Complete grading, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences • Communicate regularly with parents, students, and teachers to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules • Provide feedback on student work, suggest instructional strategies, monitor assignments, and coach special projects • Develop broad knowledge of the K–12 curriculum and detailed knowledge of assigned grades • Support students and parents with alternate strategies and additional assistance on assignments and projects • Maintain current student records and data, including attendance and contact logs • Collaborate with team members and learning specialists on enrichment activities and program modifications • Create and maintain a virtual school community • Participate in state testing organization and administration • Participate in student recruiting sessions and other marketing efforts requiring teacher representation • Attend field trips and family community activities • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Certified to teach Early Childhood and/or Elementary grades in South Carolina, appropriate to grade-level responsibilities • Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft Office programs and Google Suite • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Highly organized and punctual • Customer-focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment • Track record as a team player • Willingness to travel occasionally for school and state testing events, potentially with overnight travel • Ability to work remotely if necessary • Ability to work occasional evening hours as needed to support families • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for two-step authentication
