📋 Description

• Deliver specific History course content in an online environment • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Manage the learning process and monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and learning coaches/parents • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Travel as required, averaging once per month or approximately 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in Michigan • Michigan Teaching Certification required • History certificate required • Bachelor’s degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distractions during the workday • Ability to work the school-defined schedule, typically 9–5 or 8–4 • Experience working with the proposed age group preferred • Experience supporting adults and children with technology preferred • Experience teaching in online/virtual or brick-and-mortar environments preferred • Experience with online learning platforms preferred • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint preferred • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional-development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
