📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Focus on students’ individual needs and personalize learning • Monitor student progress through K12’s learning management system • Work with students and parents to advance learning and develop post-secondary success plans • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Maintain the grade book and make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to student performance and progress concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents promptly • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting • Apply State, National, and Industry Specific learning standards • Develop instructional tools and strategies to supplement curriculum • Collaborate with the school and national professional learning community • Administer and proctor certification assessments where applicable • Serve as an Advisor for Career & Technical Student Organization • Support business and industry partnerships for work-based learning experiences • Support a project-based learning model • Travel up to 20% for professional development, student testing, or school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Any business or office education certificate • Business and Finance certification for Grades 6-12 • Business Education certification for Grades 6-12 • Marketing certification for Grades 6-12 • Marketing Education certification for Grades 8-12 • Texas residency • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Willingness to receive regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to adapt to change to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification and professional development hours • Fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distractions during the workday • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time • Desired: Experience with the proposed age group • Desired: Experience supporting adults and children with technology • Desired: Experience teaching online or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Desired: Experience with online learning platforms
