📋 Description

• Virtually manage instructional programs for students with special needs from a home office in Florida • Consult regularly with learning coaches and students using telephone, Internet, and curriculum tools • Participate in all steps of the IEP process • Collaborate with teachers and district professionals to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations • Provide instructional guidance, virtual teaching, and general strategies for a caseload of students • Develop, write, and help implement IEPs and 504 plans • Evaluate tests and assessments, complete report cards, and conduct parent conferences • Communicate with parents and learning coaches to ensure IEP goals are met and student needs are addressed • Consult with teachers and coordinate specially designed instruction • Provide direct student services through web-conferencing software as needed • Schedule, organize, and conduct IEP-related meetings virtually • Participate in the school’s Student Support Team • Help teachers and learning coaches develop and implement program modifications and strategies • Assist with IEP paperwork, documentation, and procedures • Locate and coordinate service providers and assist with related contracts • Maintain accurate data in the Learning Management System and special education software • Assist with state testing and coordinate IEP-required special adaptations • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Special Education or related Education Field • Valid Florida Teaching Certificate in Exceptional Student Education K-12 required • Mathematics 6-12 or Elementary Education K-6 certification required • ESOL Certification or Endorsement required • ESE K-12 certification required • Experience in policy (IDEA) and/or administration with Special Education • Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft Office products • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Customer-focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment • Team player track record • Willingness and ability to travel across Florida for state testing administration, potentially requiring overnight travel
