⢠Conduct structured CATI interviews with U.S. military Veterans using government-approved questionnaires and scripts ⢠Administer baseline interviews following Veteran clinical appointments or service dog training enrollment ⢠Schedule and conduct follow-up interviews within prescribed study timelines ⢠Accurately document responses, dispositions, callback requests, and interview outcomes in the CATI system ⢠Manage Veteran interactions and callbacks to maximize participation and retention ⢠Establish rapport while maintaining a professional, neutral, Veteran-centric interviewing approach ⢠Explain study purpose, voluntary participation, confidentiality protections, and participant rights ⢠Monitor responses for distress, suicidal ideation, self-harm concerns, or emotional crisis ⢠Follow Veterans Crisis Line and project-specific escalation procedures, including warm transfers to 988, Press 1 ⢠Notify supervisory staff and designated clinical personnel about safety-related incidents ⢠Document crisis escalations and participant safety concerns ⢠Participate in post-incident reviews and debriefings ⢠Adhere to CATI interviewing standards, quality assurance procedures, survey protocols, and disposition coding requirements ⢠Protect PII and PHI and comply with HIPAA, human subjects protections, information security policies, and VA privacy standards ⢠Participate in quality monitoring, coaching, and retraining activities
⢠High school diploma or equivalent required ⢠Minimum one year of CATI survey interviewing, survey research, healthcare call center, telephone behavioral health service, telephone crisis support, or telephone customer service experience ⢠Experience conducting telephone interviews involving sensitive or personal topics ⢠Experience adhering to standardized scripts and research protocols ⢠Strong verbal communication and active listening skills ⢠Ability to establish rapport while maintaining objectivity ⢠Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy ⢠Ability to handle emotionally challenging conversations professionally ⢠Strong organizational and follow-up skills ⢠Ability to work independently in a remote or call-center environment ⢠Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn CATI software systems ⢠Located in the greater Tampa Bay Florida area ⢠Must have a private, quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for confidential Veteran health information and research data ⢠Must maintain reliable high-speed internet capable of supporting CATI operations, web applications, and voice communications ⢠Candidate is responsible for home internet costs and should have a backup plan for temporary outages ⢠Must work 6-hour shifts at least 3 days per week, Monday to Saturday, between 10 AM and 9 PM ⢠Must be available for real-time monitoring and coaching during active interviewer shifts ⢠U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract requirements; citizenship confirmed via I-9/E-Verify
