📋 Description

• Provide overall underwriting excellence through management and tactical direction for Cyber Liability lines of business • Direct the development and implementation of strategic and operational objectives for Cyber Liability lines in accordance with company strategic plans • Delegate underwriting authority • Approve underwriting referrals • Take action to achieve desired underwriting performance and efficiency • Assess risk tolerance, market conditions, and emerging risk issues • Conduct internal underwriting peer reviews to ensure corporate guidelines and best practices are met • Serve as liaison with carrier partners, including reinsurers, regarding underwriting matters • Identify new underwriting opportunities and monitor marketplace, competitor, and industry changes • Work with the Senior Leadership Team on business and talent strategy development and execution • Achieve leadership team KPIs and ensure communication, alignment of team goals, and organizational objectives • Manage a team of underwriters and loss control representatives • Interview, hire, train, assign, direct, appraise, reward, and discipline employees • Address complaints and resolve problems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent • Master’s degree preferred in a related discipline • Typically a minimum of 15 years of related work experience • 10 years of management experience • Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation preferred • Mastery of underwriting discipline and knowledge in the insurance field • Broad understanding of critical issues in related areas • Master communication skills for building consensus across areas of influence and teams • Strong leadership and management skills demonstrating integrity and professionalism • Ability to drive results by identifying and resolving significant problems within scope of responsibility • Senior-level knowledge of the insurance industry, its products, and services • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
