📋 Description

• Execute and coordinate design engineering tasks for moderate to high complexity electronic and physical security projects • Provide design engineering support to customers, vertical teams, CTCs, and assigned projects • Provide design or drawing assistance during development and as-built stages • Obtain electronic plans, design drawings, project design information, permits, and approvals from relevant parties • Create engineered drawings using AutoCAD and other tools • Prepare record drawings, O&M manuals, submittal packages, programming graphics, and project documentation • Maintain Convergint project design, documentation, submittal, and design standards • Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, product specifications, electrical requirements, and AHJ requirements • Participate in internal design review, project turnover, initial site survey, and walkthrough meetings • Prepare and procure project material purchases • Communicate design progress, completion dates, scope revisions, associated costs, and overtime requirements to Project Managers • Perform authorized change-order work and assist with change-order pricing • Provide operational support during the sales phase when needed • Train and provide work direction to other designers when required • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum two-year technical degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience • Bachelor’s degree in engineering desirable • Minimum of three years of previous design, engineering, field service or project management experience in the electronic security industry • Minimum three years’ experience with AutoCAD required • Local, federal and industry-specific licenses as required - Security • Excellent Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint skills • Excellent Bluebeam skills • Experience with AutoCAD • Excellent communication skills both oral and written • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to solve problems and be proactive with tasks • Intermediate and advanced drafting techniques • Knowledge of practical, electrical and fabrication problems • Familiarity with industry standards, codes, AHJ requirements, and electrical requirements
