📋 Description

• Lead quantity takeoffs for complex and large-scale infrastructure projects • Interpret detailed plans, specifications, notes, and engineering drawings accurately • Identify specialty materials and evaluate material options according to project specifications • Review drawings and design concepts to provide material takeoffs • Work with contractors and internal teams to propose alternatives supporting cost savings and lead-time improvements • Support advanced bid strategy development with the sales team • Lead pre-takeoff and post-takeoff meetings to ensure communication and scope alignment • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and vendors to resolve complex material questions • Review and approve takeoff work completed by Estimators I and II • Provide coaching, training, and development guidance • Act as a technical resource for the estimating team

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of estimating experience in construction or critical infrastructure • Strong track record of performing complex takeoffs • Experience collaborating with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors • Prior involvement in value engineering or design build efforts • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline • Equivalent experience considered • High-level technical expertise • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Excellent communication skills • Ability to lead discussions and provide clear direction • Advanced organizational and prioritization abilities
