📋 Description

• Provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across a minimum of 1–4 specialties • Perform Professional Fee, Facility, or HCC coding • Provide coding services supporting clients • Code surgical procedures typical of an ER setting to capture additional revenue when appropriate • Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to the highest available specificity • Accurately apply ICD-10-CM, CPT®, and HCPCS diagnosis and procedure codes • Interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment • Assess the importance of documentation on code assignment and reimbursement impact • Follow AHIMA’s Standards of Ethical Coding and the Company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct • Comply with internal policies and procedures • Participate in company-provided training and education • Maintain at least one AAPC or AHIMA credential • Ensure compliance with privacy and security regulations and protect confidential information, including Personal Health Information • Perform other duties assigned by leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Must be certified through either AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) • At least 6 months of on-the-job experience • Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance • Working knowledge and experience with EMR and billing systems • Phone, reliable internet connection, and current CPT and ICD-10-CM coding references • Maintain ongoing productivity and accuracy rate of 95% or higher • Maintain quality score of 95% or higher • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing • Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines • Ability to work from home independently • Ability to work at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours a day • Ability to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs. infrequently
