📋 Description

• Provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across 1–4 specialties • Perform professional fee, facility, or HCC coding • Work independently from home • Provide coding services supporting clients • Calculate Facility E/M levels using the company algorithm • Recognize critical care cases based on patient acuity • Code same-day surgery and observation cases • Code ER surgical procedures to capture additional revenue when appropriate • Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to the highest available specificity • Apply ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS diagnosis and procedure codes • Interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment • Assess documentation importance and reimbursement impact • Follow AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding, the Company Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and the Ethics and Compliance Program • Comply with internal policies and procedures • Participate in company-provided training and education • Maintain at least one AAPC or AHIMA credential • Comply with privacy and security rules and protect confidential information, including PHI • Perform other duties assigned by leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is required • Minimum of 1 year of on-the-job experience • SDS, outpatient surgery, and observations facility coding experience • E&M, injections/infusions, and ED experience is a plus • Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance • Working knowledge and experience with EMR and billing systems • Phone, reliable internet connection, and current CPT and ICD-10-CM coding references • Maintain productivity and accuracy of 95% or higher • Maintain a quality score of 95% or higher • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook • Effective and professional verbal and written communication • Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines • Ability to work at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours per day • Ability to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs. infrequently
