📋 Description

• Own Udemy’s instructor revenue share and cost of goods sold processes, along with partner revenue share accounting • Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations for consumer revenue share and revenue close • Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with US GAAP • Review monthly reporting, perform variance analysis, investigate differences, and support FP&A in explaining results • Partner with internal teams, engineering, and business partners to improve accounting systems, processes, and procedures • Automate revenue share processes using AI tools and develop best-in-class workflows • Support quarterly and annual external audit requirements • Prepare quarterly and annual PCAOB-compliant footnote disclosures related to direct-to-consumer revenue • Collaborate with the SOX team to maintain a robust and effective controls environment • Report to the Accounting Manager within the Consumer Revenue and Revenue Share Team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance • Certified Public Accountant preferred • Minimum 4 years’ professional experience in revenue accounting with a Big 4 accounting firm combined with industry experience at a top tier company • Experience leveraging artificial intelligence (Claude Cowork) or automated accounting workflows to streamline revenue recognition, contract reviews, and month-end close processes • Experience analyzing high volume, multi-currency transactions in a global business environment • Excellent problem-solving skills • Highly detail-oriented with excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills • Strong analytical skills • Efficient, self-motivated with the ability to follow through and implement process improvement
