📋 Description

• Own the tax ticket queue end to end: triage, research, resolve, and document indirect tax questions • Provide responsive, high-quality service to business partners, especially Account Executives • Escalate deal-specific questions to the Tax Technology and Operations team and policy questions to the Tax Accounting Manager • Track ticket volume, recurring themes, and turnaround times to guide FAQs, self-service content, and automation • Manage US sales and use tax compliance, including data gathering, return preparation and review, timely filing and payment • Support Canada GST/HST/PST/QST and Mexico IVA compliance • Prepare recurring filings and accruals, including state taxes and retail delivery fees • Reconcile indirect tax general ledger accounts monthly and support month-end and quarter-end close • Monitor and resolve tax calculation errors across Vertex, NetSuite, and Salesforce • Maintain customer exemption certificates and perform the annual review • Support sales and use tax audits and notices • Support cash tax forecasting and other Tax Department projects • Work with external tax advisors on research, compliance, and special projects • Report to the Manager II, Tax Accounting

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of indirect tax experience in public accounting, in-house at a company, or a combination of both • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Working knowledge of US sales and use tax compliance, including return preparation and multistate filings • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, with the ability to work with large data sets • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non-tax business partners • Customer service mindset and a strong work ethic • Ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
