📋 Description

• Establish estimates for patients who have a scheduled DME service or device • Work with patients to establish payment schedules • Discuss patients' financial responsibility • Collect prepayments in accordance with CoxHealth at Home policy • Work alongside different departments system wide • Deliver excellent care and customer service for CoxHealth patients

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent • 1 year healthcare or customer service experience • Preferred: medical billing experience and claims processing knowledge • Preferred: familiarity with the insurance industry and collection process • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with patients, families, coworkers, and physicians while exhibiting an empathetic attitude toward the sick and elderly • Ability to prioritize shifting caseload containing multiple time-sensitive needs • Working knowledge of common insurance reimbursement practices • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams • Adept in Microsoft Office suite • Flexible and adaptable to procedural changes • Ability to multi-task and have attention to detail
