📋 Description

• Evaluate complex and high-value submissions to determine risk acceptance, pricing strategy, and coverage terms • Provide expert consultation and mentoring to underwriters on risk analysis, policy structuring, and portfolio management • Develop and implement underwriting guidelines, best practices, and quality control measures • Maintain compliance and reduce exposure • Collaborate with actuarial, legal, and product teams to design insurance solutions and pricing models • Analyze market trends, loss ratios, and competitor data to inform product positioning and underwriting strategy • Assist in resolving escalated underwriting issues • Negotiate terms with brokers and clients on specialty risks • Contribute to training programs, thought leadership initiatives, and technology adoption

🎯 Requirements

• English language fluency required • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field • 10+ years of progressive underwriting experience in property, casualty, or specialty lines • Demonstrated expertise in complex accounts • Proven track record of advising underwriting teams and influencing strategic risk decisions • Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks and insurance rating methodologies • Advanced risk assessment and policy analysis skills • Strong negotiation and decision-making capabilities • Proficiency in underwriting systems, data analytics tools, and reporting platforms • Deep understanding of insurance products, regulations, and market dynamics • Leadership ability to mentor and guide diverse underwriting teams • Strategic problem-solving and process improvement orientation
