📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership across compute, storage, networking, Linux, Windows, and Kubernetes platforms • Design and implement enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions • Identify systemic issues, simplify complex systems, and reduce operational toil through automation • Define and drive Infrastructure as Code standards • Evaluate and adopt AI-enabled tooling and agent-based workflows for infrastructure operations • Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Application teams on end-to-end data center and cloud solutions • Perform impact analysis for complex changes and identify cross-system risks • Serve as a senior escalation point, lead root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions • Define, document, and socialize engineering standards, reference architectures, and best practices • Mentor engineers through coaching, design reviews, and knowledge sharing • Influence infrastructure and platform roadmaps and long-term strategy • Participate in incident response, disaster recovery planning, and on-call rotations • Share technical design decisions and reference architectures with Infrastructure leadership • Improve reliability, scalability, and delivery velocity through measurable platform improvements and automation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering roles • Deep hands-on ownership of compute, virtualization, and storage platforms • Expertise designing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise-scale compute and virtualization environments • Experience leading large-scale migrations from on-premises data centers to Amazon Web Services (AWS) • Experience with block storage, file and scale-out NAS, and object storage architectures • Experience designing and operating enterprise-grade file services for a remote workforce • Hands-on experience with Pure Storage, Cohesity, Qumulo, or equivalent enterprise solutions • Advanced Infrastructure as Code and automation experience using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Git, or similar • Experience designing reusable modules, workflows, and automation patterns • Solid networking fundamentals • Experience designing and operating infrastructure in virtualized and/or hybrid environments • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and lead critical infrastructure incident response • Required degrees must be from accredited institutions recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent • Preferred: hybrid data center and cloud environments; AI-assisted operations; configuration management; Kubernetes; observability and monitoring; disaster recovery; platform strategy; VMware and alternative virtualization solutions • Ability to own ambiguous, high-impact problems and drive durable, documented solutions • Experience acting as a technical leader across teams without direct authority • Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple infrastructure layers • Interest in modern automation techniques, including AI-assisted or agent-based approaches
