📋 Description

• Own the platform, including GCP, Kubernetes, Temporal, the GPU fleet, and deployment and rollback machinery • Participate in the on-call rotation and improve its quietness and actionability • Own GPU capacity, training and inference pipelines, and production model-serving reliability and cost • Make infrastructure cost trade-offs and own metering and attribution as inference usage grows • Manage identity and access, secrets management, least-privilege boundaries, and supply-chain integrity • Build legible infrastructure-as-code, runbooks, in-repo context, and observability • Improve tooling, standards, tests, observability, and release practices • Provide architectural direction, thoughtful reviews, mentoring, and clear human writing • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand needs and build the platform roadmap

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years building and operating production distributed systems, or equivalent server-side engineering with a heavy infrastructure focus • Effectively leverage agents and think critically about harnessing AI • Experience operating systems where failure was expensive • Experience carrying a pager, commanding an incident, and rolling back systems • Use SLOs and error budgets as operating tools • Production experience with a major cloud provider and Kubernetes • Infrastructure-as-code as a default • Owned an architecture or migration from planning through launch • Ability to identify unowned work, scope it, gain buy-in, and deliver it • Ability to build minimal reproductions, read logs, and write targeted checks • Helpful experience with GPU and ML infrastructure • Helpful experience with production security engineering, IAM, secrets, supply chain, and least privilege • Helpful experience with cloud cost modeling, commitment strategy, reservations, and unit economics • Helpful experience with CI/CD at monorepo scale and developer environments • Helpful experience with media, video, or GPU-backed workloads • Helpful experience working on small teams owning a large surface
