📋 Description

• Partner with ZoomInfo's data engineering organization as the infrastructure architecture counterpart • Establish and maintain infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, performance, and cost patterns for data teams • Design reference patterns for streaming, messaging, databases, analytics stores, search, orchestration, processing, and open table formats • Define CI/CD and GitOps patterns for data jobs and pipelines • Establish performance, cost, observability, backup, restore, and disaster recovery patterns, including RTO/RPO targets • Run proofs of concept for emerging data technologies and vendor offerings • Define secure connectivity patterns between managed data services and ZoomInfo's GCP environment • Support data consolidation, governance, classification, residency, and access-policy efforts • Build reference implementations, write ADRs, and partner with owning teams on rollout • Participate in weekly architecture reviews, expand standards and ADR libraries, and provide infrastructure consulting • Host design reviews and workshops and enable data teams through complex infrastructure decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Production experience architecting on GCP and/or AWS beyond data services • Experience with compute and Kubernetes, including GKE or equivalent, as the runtime for data workloads • Experience with VPC networking and private connectivity to managed services • Experience with IAM and workload identity • Strong Terraform and GitOps skills, including designing and reviewing modules • Ability to review service-mesh or network designs in architecture review • Hands-on experience building and operating infrastructure under data platforms at multi-terabyte to petabyte scale • Deep production experience in at least two data domains: streaming and stream processing; relational operational databases; NoSQL; columnar analytics and lakehouse; search; pipeline orchestration and processing • Fluency across the remaining data domains sufficient to evaluate, review, and learn them quickly • Experience diagnosing and fixing expensive or slow data workloads • Ability to dive into code, prove out patterns, and test behavior under load • Experience running rigorous technology evaluations used by engineering leaders and procurement • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience • 10–15+ years of cloud infrastructure, platform, or data infrastructure engineering experience • Several years establishing patterns and standards that multiple teams depend on
