• Lead all aspects of development, implementation, and consolidation of a complex multi-country child development, care, and protection project • Provide strategic leadership and ensure alignment, coordination, and accountability across countries, technical teams, and partners • Serve as primary contact with donors and public, private, and non-government stakeholders • Ensure timely, high-quality results, milestone completion, sustainability, and compliance with donor expectations • Monitor and verify milestone-based deliverables and donor reporting requirements • Lead senior programming and operations staff, manage team dynamics, coach and mentor staff, and oversee senior-staff recruitment • Manage and mitigate security and program risks and maintain staff safety and security policies • Oversee safeguarding and child protection standards across activities, partners, and countries • Ensure compliance with donor and CRS policies, including financial tracking, partner budgets, expenditures, and donor reporting • Represent CRS programming internationally, publish results, deliver presentations, and oversee communications materials • Manage consortium partner relationships and coordinate consortium member activities • Promote cross-country learning, knowledge management, evidence-based decision-making, and adaptive management • Identify performance gaps and oversee training and technical assistance • Provide strategic oversight of consortium partners, sub-awardees, and vendors
• Bachelor’s degree in international development, International Relations, or a relevant technical area • Minimum 8 years of relevant management and technical experience • Minimum 7 years of experience managing donor funds, including multi-country grants • Excellent knowledge and experience in budget management • Minimum 5 years of staff management experience • Experience coaching and mentoring senior program staff • Successful management of complex, high-value, multi-activity projects with complicated logistics • Established sector leadership demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, or similar accomplishments • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio • Knowledge of web conferencing applications and information and budget management systems • Strong strategic, analytical, systems-thinking, and problem-solving skills • Relationship management, team leadership, coaching, mentoring, communication, and presentation skills • Fluency in English required • Spanish or French fluency is a plus • Must be willing and able to travel up to 35% • Must be legally able to work where the position is performed • Pre-employment medical clearance required for positions requiring residence or frequent travel outside a home country • Must sign and adhere to CRS’ Code of Conduct
