📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical bridge between design teams and on-site construction partners during construction through operational handover • Support on-site installation, quality assurance, functional checkout, testing, and commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure • Monitor deployment of medium-voltage UPS, backup generators, and BESS • Support and directly participate in substation protection system management • Provide technical support for the RFI process, temporary power, and electrical switching • Track construction progress against project milestones and ensure adherence to the Basis of Design and engineering specifications • Support rapid resolution of RFIs and Field Engineering Directives between contractors and the internal design team • Own critical lessons learned and field service bulletins with design ramifications and feed them back into specifications and templates • Support commissioning levels 1–5 with the commissioning team and review commissioning documents for technical accuracy and design intent • Champion electrical safety with construction partners • Travel primarily to assigned construction sites, potentially exceeding 50% during critical construction phases • Provide 24/7 on-call emergency support to the assigned campus

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent • 5+ years of experience in mission-critical environments supporting construction and/or operations • Deep practical understanding of electrical power distribution equipment assembly and installation • Hands-on experience with on-site construction and partnering with third-party general contractors and electrical subcontractors • Strong project management skills to assist in monitoring schedules, spotting bottlenecks, and driving on-time completion in a technical position • Ability to troubleshoot complex field installation issues and implement practical, code-compliant solutions on the fly • Flexibility to travel frequently or reside near assigned project site; minimum of 50% of time on site • Professional Engineer (PE) License or EIT certification • Direct experience overseeing the installation of high-density racks and their accompanying electrical infrastructure • Mega Project construction experience in mission critical or heavy industry • Certifications such as PMP, OSHA 30, or equivalent safety credentials • 24/7 on-call availability for assigned campus emergencies
