• Inspect new electrical installations and review plans, drawings, specifications, equipment submittals, and other qualification documentation • Issue, pull, obtain, and manage electrical permits across states, cities, and municipalities; some permits may need to be purchased in person • Enforce NEC, NFPA 70E, state electrical laws, regulations, and safety standards • Conduct site visits, checklist reviews, JSO processes, electrical safety audits, and incident investigations • Act as qualification agent for generator, EV charger, loadbank, marine power generation, hydrolyzer, fuel cell, and other medium/high- and low-voltage systems • Monitor technician trainee cards, electrical work hours, renewals, and continuing education submissions • Record completed inspections and attach confirmation emails in Cummins operations systems when required • Maintain relationships with state, city, local municipality, and labor agencies • Coordinate permitting and compliance with PEM/PM/Data Center and Start & Test teams • Participate in electrical safety meetings and support technician safety culture • Attend required virtual and in-person meetings and perform other assigned duties • Support customer experience, process improvement, organized records, safety programs, compliance training, employee engagement, and Planet 2050 initiatives
• College, university, or equivalent degree required • Maintain a current Master Electrician license, equivalent master license, or other required licenses in the home state and reciprocal states as required • Maintain required work hours and continuing education credits • Hold or be willing to apply for reciprocity electrical licenses in applicable states • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience • Knowledge of NEC and state electrical regulations • Knowledge of NFPA 70E codes and qualifications • Experience with medium/high- and low-voltage electrical systems • Ability to inspect installations, review plans, issue/pull permits, and maintain compliance records • Willingness to travel approximately 75–90% or more • Ability to attend virtual and in-person meetings • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
