📋 Description

• Conduct intelligence lead investigations and behavioral assessments of persons of concern who appear to be on the pathway to committing targeted violence • Conduct threat investigations • Provide peer support services to other FDLE members • Specialize in targeted violence prevention and threat mitigation • Participate in oral interviews and selection evaluations as required • Complete required background, physical, medical, psychological, drug-screening, fingerprinting, and suitability processes

🎯 Requirements

• At least ten years’ experience investigating violent physical crimes as a sworn criminal investigator • Active law enforcement certification or eligibility for certification in Florida under s. 943.13, Florida Statutes and CJSTC Requirements • Successful completion of FDLE Special Agent Trainee Program • Superior interpersonal communication skills • Knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling • Ability to work in dangerous and stressful situations • Ability to probe and obtain critical facts • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments • Ability to communicate effectively • Ability to describe facts and events accurately • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships • Ability to analyze and interpret data • Ability to effectively interview suspects, complainants, and witnesses • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures • Must pass physical agility test, drug screen, physical exam, electronic fingerprint submission, and psychological evaluation • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license and United States passport throughout employment • Must undergo an extensive background investigation including financial credit, criminal history, references, and employment and education verifications • Must reside or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of an FDLE office at employment • Must sign an employment training reimbursement agreement • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker
