📋 Description

• Inspect new electrical installations and review plans, drawings, specifications, equipment submittals, and other qualification documentation. • Issue, pull, obtain, and manage electrical permits across states and municipalities. • Ensure Cummins employees’ and subcontractors’ electrical work complies with NEC, NFPA 70E, and state/local regulations. • Conduct site visits, checklist reviews, JSO activities, electrical safety audits, and incident investigations. • Educate stakeholders and technicians on electrical safety, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. • Maintain compliance records and document completed inspections in Cummins systems. • Monitor technician trainee cards, electrical qualification hours, renewals, and continuing education requirements; submit hours to the state as required. • Maintain relationships with state, city, local municipality, and Department of Industrial Relations agencies. • Coordinate permitting requirements with PEM/PM/Data Center and Start & Test teams. • Participate in electrical safety meetings and support a collaborative safety culture. • Maintain compliance with state, city, local, and loadbanking requirements. • Attend required virtual and in-person meetings and perform other assigned duties. • Support safety, customer experience, employee engagement, community, environmental, leadership, and continuous-improvement objectives.

🎯 Requirements

• College, university, or equivalent degree required. • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required. • Maintain a current Master Electrician license, equivalent master license, or other required licenses in the home state and reciprocal states as required. • Maintain required work hours and continuing education credits. • Hold or be willing to apply for reciprocity electrical licenses for applicable reciprocal states. • Experience/knowledge involving medium/high- and low-voltage electrical systems, generator installations and service, EV charger installations and service, loadbank testing, marine power generation, hydrolyzers, and fuel cells. • Knowledge of NEC, state electrical laws and regulations, and NEC/NFPA 70E codes. • Ability to perform site visits, safety audits, JSO activities, and compliance reviews. • Ability to obtain and manage permits across states and municipalities, including permits that may need to be purchased in person. • Ability to attend virtual and in-person meetings. • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
