📋 Description

• Inspect new electrical installations and review plans, designs, specifications, drawings, and equipment submittals • Issue, obtain, pull, and manage electrical permits across states, cities, and municipalities • Ensure electrical work by Cummins employees and subcontractors complies with NEC and state regulations • Conduct site visits, checklist reviews, JSOs, electrical safety audits, and incident investigations • Act as qualification agent for medium/high- and low-voltage electrical systems • Maintain compliance records and document completed inspections in Cummins systems • Monitor technician trainee cards, electrical work hours, renewals, and continuing education submissions • Educate stakeholders and technicians on electrical safety, regulations, and requirements • Collaborate with PEM/PM/Data Center and Start & Test teams to align schedules with permitting requirements • Maintain relationships with state, city, and local regulatory agencies • Participate in electrical safety meetings and support an improved safety culture • Maintain state, municipal, confidence-testing, and loadbanking compliance • Respond to customer and employee communications and support customer experience objectives • Analyze and streamline processes, maintain organized files, and attend required virtual and in-person meetings • Complete safety, employee engagement, community, performance management, and individual development objectives

🎯 Requirements

• College, university, or equivalent degree required • Current Master Electrician license, equivalent master license, or other required electrical licenses in the home state • Maintain required work hours and continuing education credits • Hold or be willing to apply for reciprocity electrical licenses in applicable states • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and state electrical laws and regulations • Experience with medium/high- and low-voltage power systems • Experience with generator installations and service, EV charger installations and service, loadbank testing, marine power generation, hydrolyzers, and fuel cells • Ability to conduct site visits, safety audits, JSOs, and compliance reviews • Ability to review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and related documentation • Ability to monitor technician trainee cards, work hours, and continuing education compliance • Ability to travel 75–90% in the home state and reciprocal states • May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
