📋 Description

• Inspect new electrical installations and investigate electrical safety incidents • Review plans, design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and related qualification documentation • Issue, obtain, manage, and pull electrical permits across multiple states and municipalities • Ensure electrical work performed by Cummins employees and subcontractors complies with NEC, state regulations, and electrical installation laws • Conduct site visits, safety audits, JSOs, and electrical safety compliance checks • Educate stakeholders and technicians on codes, standards, safety requirements, and state regulations • Act as qualification agent for medium/high- and low-voltage power systems, generators, EV chargers, loadbank testing, marine power generation, hydrolyzers, and fuel cells • Maintain technician trainee cards, monitor and submit qualifying hours, and ensure completion of required education courses • Maintain compliance records and document completed inspections in Cummins systems • Maintain relationships with state, city, local, and industrial relations agencies • Coordinate with PEM/PM, Data Center, Start & Test, Electrical Safety Coordinator, and technician teams to align schedules and permitting • Participate in electrical safety meetings, toolbox talks, compliance training, employee surveys, and community/environmental initiatives • Support customer experience, customer retention, NPS improvement, process streamlining, and organized file management • Complete performance management and individual development activities; uphold Cummins values and leadership behaviors • Attend required virtual and in-person meetings and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• College, university, or equivalent degree required • Current State electrical license with required hours and continuing education credits • Maintain a current Master Electrician license (or equivalent) in the home state • Hold or be willing to apply for reciprocity electrical licenses for applicable reciprocal states • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required • Ability to inspect electrical installations, review plans, issue and manage permits, enforce codes and standards, and maintain compliance records • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, state electrical regulations, safety procedures, and compliance requirements • Ability to qualify medium/high- and low-voltage electrical systems, generator installations, EV chargers, loadbank testing, marine power generation, hydrolyzers, and fuel cells • Ability to travel 90% or more • Ability to attend virtual and in-person meetings • Ability to maintain technician trainee cards, monitor qualifying hours, and ensure continuing education compliance • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
