📋 Description

• Perform general cost accounting and related duties • Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements • Maintain the general ledger • Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books • Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and address bank inquiries • Reconcile cash disbursement, payroll, customer, and other financial accounts • Manage accounts receivable collections • Verify and/or complete accounts payable invoice payments and ensure correct account allocation • Assist outside auditors and gather account information and documents for annual audits • File tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies • Coordinate with the software vendor to maintain accounting software systems and recommend updates • Manage the purchasing and invoicing system • Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required • At least three years of related experience required • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles • Ability to correctly prepare tax reports • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software • Routine usage of multiple computer screens simultaneously
