📋 Description

• Own the monthly and quarterly close for a portfolio of clients, including bank and credit card reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and journal entries • Prepare and review compiled financial statements and management reporting packages • Review payroll processing, sales and use tax filings, and 1099 reporting prepared by the team • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for client owners, controllers, and office staff • Lead onboarding for new client accounting engagements, including chart of accounts design, software conversion, and documentation of recurring procedures • Coordinate with the tax team to deliver clean year-end books and supporting workpapers • Identify and implement process and technology improvements that reduce manual work across the client base

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of client accounting, bookkeeping, or outsourced accounting experience, including work in a public accounting or multi-client environment • Working knowledge of GAAP as applied to closely held businesses • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel • Strong attention to detail and the judgment to know when something needs escalation • Integrity within a professional environment • Prior experience supervising, reviewing, or training accounting staff is a plus • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preference) • QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification (preference) • Experience with CCH Axcess and cloud accounting workflow tools (preference) • Experience with payroll platforms and multi-state sales tax compliance (preference) • Active CPA or CMA (preference)
