📋 Description

• Complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repairs on Beckman Coulter equipment • Provide excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulter customers • Deliver technical training on products • Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records • Order repair parts and adhere to cycle times • Utilize OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service call planning and team goals • Communicate with internal and external customers and address their unique needs • Assist with training newer Field Service Engineers • Improve throughput, reduce downtime, perform preventive maintenance, and complete upgrades • Advocate for customers and steward the company’s interests

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical, biomedical engineering, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or related field, or equivalent military experience • At least 1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation • Must reside within the service territory or be willing to relocate to Richmond, Virginia Beach, or Washington, DC • Travel up to 50%, including driving and occasional flying, with overnight stays • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record • Ability to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods • Ability to reach above and below shoulder level, flex and extend the neck, and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in biomedicine, engineering, or related field • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and/or service repair • Preferred: experience developing positive business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
