DanceOne is a dance entertainment and events company that produces competitions, conventions, tours and national events to advance dance as a form of joyful self-expression. It partners with celebrity dancers, studios, and organizations to run large-scale events (competitions, championships, summits) and offers educational programming, scholarships, and branded merchandise via licensing partners. DanceOne serves students, teachers, dance studios and audiences through both live events and media coverage.

📋 Description

• Partner with the CFO as a trusted right hand on financial strategy, process, analysis, and day-to-day decision support across the business • Own the annual budget, including building the calendar, driving departmental input, consolidating, and presenting the plan to leadership • Build, maintain, and refine cash forecasts and liquidity analyses • Own the company’s Planful environment, including models, templates, and reporting • Prepare board decks, quarterly reporting packages, and executive materials • Build and maintain the company’s cap table and support equity, financing, and scenario analyses • Partner with leaders across multiple entities, events, and venues to create consistency, structure, and visibility into the numbers • Translate budgets, forecasts, and financial concepts for creative and production staff • Pressure-test inputs and correct flawed or inconsistent data before it reaches leadership • Manage and develop one senior direct report • Lead cross-functional finance initiatives from scoping through delivery • Collaborate with the West Coast accounting team to keep planning and the books aligned

🎯 Requirements

• 12–15 years of progressive FP&A experience, including a senior leadership role • Experience in businesses generating $50M–$200M in annual revenue • Direct experience in the live events industry • Proven track record building financial structure and process within highly decentralized, multi-entity organizations • Experience as the primary, front-line leader of an annual budgeting process • Demonstrated expertise developing and managing cash forecasts • Expert-level proficiency with Planful (required) • Hands-on experience with Ramp and NetSuite • East Coast based, with flexibility to collaborate with a West Coast accounting team across time zones • CFA designation strongly preferred • Wall Street experience in investment banking, equity research, or capital markets preferred • Experience building and maintaining cap tables preferred • Exceptional communication skills for making finance accessible to non-financial, creative audiences • Strong project-management skills • Ability to manage up and support an executive team and board • Persistent problem-solving ability • Highly organized, with a bias for structure in ambiguous, fast-moving environments • Strong attention to data integrity and accuracy • Low-ego partnership skills across finance, operations, and creative teams
