📋 Description

• Provide education and guidance to DaVita patients about health insurance and the implications of different insurance options • Help patients make informed employment and insurance decisions • Conduct 100% telephonic patient insurance education within established compliance parameters • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve patients’ insurance status and reduce financial risk and burden • Help patients find or secure insurance coverage and financial assistance programs • Deliver customer service to patients across multiple DaVita Dialysis facilities • Complete insurance assessments/evaluations and document patient education sessions • Liaise between patients, facility teammates, billing office, and corporate office to resolve insurance issues • Build and maintain relationships with field partners to ensure seamless patient support • Work with supervisor/manager to meet objectives, deadlines, and reporting requirements • Provide monthly reporting and analysis on patient education and advocacy metrics • Participate in monthly operations reviews • Identify continuous process improvement opportunities • Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training • Assist with onboarding and training new teammates or other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Insurance management experience is required • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Minimum of one (1) year experience working with Medicare and Medicaid insurance, as well as commercial insurance plans and benefits (PPO, HMO, POS, EPO, Indemnity), strongly preferred • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a healthcare organization working with clinical staff and patients preferred • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required • Bilingual/Spanish Speaking preferred
