📋 Description

• Initiate and maintain communication with facilities to ensure timely and accurate receipt of patients' insurance coverage information • Enter insurance information into the billing system • Verify patient insurance with payors, including eligibility and benefits related to outpatient kidney dialysis • Update Patient Registration and associated systems accurately • Coordinate with Patient Referral Coordinators to obtain required documentation for patient registration • Partner with facilities and the Insurance Management Team to resolve incomplete registrations • Review registration denials and determine root causes • Resolve patient account errors causing registration denials • Help identify process changes to prevent failed registrations • Determine Coordination of Benefits and maintain current patient account information • Follow up to verify insurance changes and reset lines of coverage • Submit internal requests, including RCUs, SMARTFORMS, PCS Inquiries, and SPA Requests, for accurate and timely claims submission • Complete ancillary reports and assigned projects within established timeframes • Support Patient Account Representatives and other ROPS teammates • Maintain confidentiality of company and patient information under HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies • Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • Minimum of three (3) years' healthcare reimbursement experience preferred • Experience with admissions, billing, and collections preferred • Knowledge of insurance rules, regulations, and Coordination of Benefits for federal, state, and managed care payors in multiple states preferred • Basic computer skills required • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required • Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies • Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled • Willingness to work overtime with little or no notice as needed
