• Conduct comprehensive RF site surveys to evaluate signal propagation, identify interference issues, and determine optimal antenna placements for DAS and ERRCS • Design, configure, and commission DAS and Public Safety BDA systems • Ensure systems comply with NFPA 1221/1225, FCC Part 90 regulations, and local building codes • Perform RF signal strength measurements, system gain adjustments, and interference mitigation • Use spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and RF power meters • Develop system diagrams, test reports, and compliance certifications • Coordinate with Fire Marshals, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, and building inspectors • Travel throughout the western U.S. 75% of the time • Report to the company's Sacramento headquarters
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field • 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or 3 years with a master's degree • Experience with RF engineering and propagation modeling • Experience with DAS and ERRCS design and implementation • Knowledge of NFPA, FCC, and UL compliance • Experience with spectrum analyzers and RF test equipment • Experience with structured cabling installation (CAT6, CAT6A, fiber optics) • Experience with network hardware configuration and troubleshooting • Experience with technical documentation and reporting • Experience with project coordination and regulatory compliance
