📋 Description

• Answer inbound calls from patients and caregivers after hours • Listen to patient concerns, review relevant record context, and use established pathways and protocols to guide next steps • Provide actionable at-home guidance, connect patients with treating oncology practices, or escalate care as appropriate • Document each contact in the EHR • Communicate open items through team channels • Follow Daymark’s policies, procedures, and documentation standards • Maintain confidentiality of patient health information in accordance with HIPAA • Provide clean handoffs of after-hours contacts to the patient’s care team

🎯 Requirements

• An active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license with multi-state (Nurse Licensure Compact) privileges is required • Current licensure in additional non-compact states (e.g., California, Michigan, New York, etc.) is preferred • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience • Oncology experience required • Experience on a nurse advice line, in telephone navigation or triage, or in remote patient support is strongly preferred • Ability to understand a patient’s concern through conversation and record review • Warm, clear telephone presence with patients and caregivers • Structured communication when coordinating with providers or handing off to the care team • Ability to handle calls independently, following clear protocols and escalation paths • Proficiency with EHR systems • Comfort with Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and cloud-based phone platforms • Commitment to supporting cancer patients with dignity and compassion • Dependable availability during scheduled on-call weeks and timely responsiveness to patient calls • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by start date • Compliance with Daymark's Employee Vaccination and Testing policy required by start date
