📋 Description

• Assist the Statutory Reporting unit with daily tasks related to compiling statutory financial statements, reconciliations, process enhancement, and statutory accounting and reporting projects • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial statements for timely and accurate presentation to the NAIC and appropriate state regulatory authorities • Prepare supplemental filings accompanying quarterly and annual statutory financial statements • Support and assist in Department/Division of Insurance audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and adhering to deadlines • Support and assist in testing NetSuite development and other ad hoc reports for preparing statutory financial statements • Assist in filing statutory financial statements using vendor software and submit filings to the NAIC and individual states • Lead and participate in ad hoc Statutory Reporting and Finance projects, including reinsurance accounting • Assist in reviewing certain statutory financial statements and supplemental filings • Work overtime as necessary during peak reporting periods • Report to the Senior Statutory Reporting Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Reinsurance accounting experience - from implementation to reporting • Advanced Excel proficiency, including experience with complex formulas • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (ERP) and Workiva (Wdesk) is a significant plus • A demonstrable track record of success / delivery in a changing and complex financial reporting environment • Dynamic team player who is highly motivated, a self-starter, can demonstrate great initiative, and is customer-service oriented • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines on a consistent basis • Excellent documentation and organizational skills • Ability to adhere to policies and procedures • Must be analytical, hands on, and expected to be an immediate contributor • Ability to independently manage multiple demands and meet deadlines • Ability to identify actions necessary to complete tasks and obtain results • Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality of financial and other sensitive information consistent with professional and regulatory requirements and standards • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment • Experience with healthcare and insurance industries • Experience with review of statutory filings • Exposure to leveraging AI tools to automate complex financial reconciliations, improve the accuracy of statutory filings, and streamline data collection across multiple jurisdictions
