📋 Description

• Manage case records and maintain accurate, timely case-management and practitioner dockets • Partner with attorneys and patent agents to track deadlines • Lead weekly docket meetings and update deadline commentary • Take ownership of attorney-support workload and assigned case-management tasks • Review IP docketing database deadline entries for accuracy • Review correspondence from the USPTO, WIPO, RO/US, and foreign associates • Coordinate with and support outside counsel on intellectual property matters • Coordinate filing of new U.S. and PCT patent applications, national-stage applications, and foreign applications • Prepare, file, and manage formal documents, including oaths and declarations, powers of attorney, patent assignments, and other required documents • Support the Paralegal Manager with portfolio audits, routine checklists, and other projects • Interact with patent attorneys, agents, outside legal counsel, business stakeholders, and Legal Department teams

🎯 Requirements

• Law firm experience in patent prosecution, including in-house experience • Experience with U.S. and/or foreign filing • Experience using and maintaining an IP docketing system • Experience filing and managing patent-related documents throughout the patent life cycle • Strong knowledge of patent practice and docketing procedures • Hands-on experience with one or more docketing tools • Anaqua experience is a plus • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment • Ability to handle multiple projects under limited supervision • Ability to meet deadlines • Strong team-player skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Effective written and oral communication skills • Paralegal certificate and/or commensurate work experience • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5–8 years of related experience • At least three years of law firm experience required • Willingness to travel 0–5%
