📋 Description

• Coordinate admissions with the admissions department and facility • Schedule admission times, tours, assessments, and coordinate the intake process • Oversee patient intake, complete initial assessments, paperwork, and send information to the home office • Guide patients through the pre-admission medical standard procedure as needed • Provide preliminary diagnoses and communicate them to the assigned therapist and registered dietitian • Support patients and support systems during the first week and conduct check-in calls • Contact referring and outpatient treatment teams upon admission when releases are available • Conduct in-person pre-admission assessments and recommend level of care based on APA Guidelines and Discovery admissions criteria • Conduct program tours • Facilitate groups and provide meal support • Help manage the milieu and oversee patient activities and interactions • Educate patients on admission processes and treatment needs; review patient rights and expectations • Maintain confidentiality of outpatient programming and related activities • Travel to other facilities for training or assistance when needed • Perform other tasks and responsibilities requested by leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, or health-related field preferred • Licensed or license eligible in related field preferred • Prefer three-years’ experience working in mental health, counseling, or eating disorders field • Must be licensed/associate licensed in CA • Knowledge of DSM diagnostic criteria for adolescents and adults • Understanding of mental health, the recovery process and requirements for sustained recovery • Ability to manage crises and utilize crisis interventions • Ability to present and manage cases in a knowledgeable and professional manner • Ability to conduct individual, family and group therapy • Clear and efficient documentation • Ability to assess residents upon admission and formulate a treatment plan
