📋 Description

• Ensure timely collection and communication of clinical data for chart-abstracted measures, registries, accreditations, and certifications • Abstract, analyze, and submit data to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, CMS conditions of participation, payor requirements, and medical staff bylaws • Identify and communicate data patterns, trends, and improvement opportunities to site-based teams and quality leaders • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding individual measures and data definitions • Participate in data verification and validation to ensure accuracy, integrity, and inter-rater reliability • Participate in quality improvement activities promoting patient safety and addressing opportunities identified in abstraction, analysis, or synthesis • Participate in ongoing education to apply current data definitions • Provide clinical expertise for complex abstraction • Perform other job-related duties as required by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (required) • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) (required) • 1 year of experience in an adult, acute care hospital setting (required) • 1 year of hospital quality experience (preferred) • Clinical abstraction, clinical data, data analysis, data verification, data quality, and data validation • Professional nursing and electronic medical records knowledge • Patient safety and operational definitions knowledge • Data accuracy, data trends, and quality improvement skills • Time management, organization, accuracy, attention to detail, teamwork, enthusiasm to learn, communication, and deadline management • EPIC - Electronic Health Records (preferred) • Premier QMR (preferred)
