📋 Description

• Lead acoustic window screens on candidate patients at hospital and clinic sites using linear and cardiac probes according to the approved AWS protocol and IFU • Guide and oversee acquisition of acoustic window measurements and patient information for WiSE System implants • Document measurements and patient information • Determine and document viable and optimal windows; identify and explain non-qualifying patients • Identify and document cardiac abnormalities or anatomical findings affecting implantation or system function and escalate as appropriate • Prepare timely, accurate AWS reports for implanting physicians, Field Clinical Specialists, Territory Managers, and internal stakeholders • Translate screening findings into pre-case guidance on target implant site selection and expected approach • Participate in pre-case planning and re-scan or confirm window selection on procedure day when required • Provide imaging support, including patient positioning guidance and implant site marking • Partner with account and EBR field teams on screening logistics, scheduling, and site readiness • Participate in post-case reviews and feed learnings into protocol and training • Train hospital sonographers, echo lab staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals on AWS protocol, image acquisition, and measurement technique • Train and assess internal field team members on screening workflow and imaging fundamentals • Perform quality-control reviews of screens completed by others and correct measurement or protocol deviations • Assess site and personnel readiness for independent screening and recommend support, retraining, or independent status • Maintain compliant training and screening documentation • Provide field feedback to Training & Education, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Engineering, and R&D • Support introduction of new imaging modalities • Identify trends in screening outcomes, anatomical patterns, and workflow barriers • Maintain clinical, technical, and product knowledge of the WiSE System and implant procedure • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, patient privacy obligations, hospital credentialing requirements, and company policy • Travel extensively to support field-based case scheduling

🎯 Requirements

• Active, credentialed echocardiography sonographer credential (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent) in good standing • Minimum of 3 years of full-time adult cardiac sonography experience in a hospital setting, with independent scanning responsibility • Demonstrated proficiency with transthoracic imaging, thoracic and cardiac anatomy, intercostal window assessment, and precise measurement technique • Ability to scan independently and make accurate, defensible eligibility and target site determinations without on-site supervision • Strong patient-facing presence; able to position, coach, and reassure heart failure patients during extended scanning in multiple postures • Credibility with physicians and echo lab leadership; able to teach and give direct technical feedback to sonographers • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environment • Proven ability to maintain composure and deliver results in time-sensitive or high-pressure clinical situations • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including clear written clinical reporting • Proficiency with common imaging software, DICOM viewers, CRM systems, LMS platforms, Microsoft Office, cloud collaboration platforms, and digital tools • Ability to meet hospital credentialing, immunization, and vendor access requirements • Valid driver's license and adherence to applicable driving and state requirements • Ability to travel approximately 80% of the time, including overnight, occasional weekend, and potential international travel • Flexibility to travel on short notice • Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, reach, and use hands for extended periods • Ability to sustain scanning posture and repetitive arm, wrist, and hand motion • Ability to transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, lift up to 20 pounds, and assist with patient positioning • Required visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and focus adjustment • Bachelor's degree preferred • TEE and ICE imaging experience preferred • Experience training, precepting, or quality-checking other sonographers preferred • Medical device industry experience preferred • Familiarity with cardiac rhythm management, electrophysiology, heart failure, or CRT patient populations preferred • Cardiac CT interpretation or measurement experience, and pediatric or adult congenital heart disease scanning experience, are a plus
