📋 Description

• Coordinate and manage new product introduction (NPI), including definition, design, DFM, DFT, prototyping, validation, testing, qualifications, and certifications. • Build and maintain detailed development timelines, track progress and dependencies, and update stakeholders. • Lead meetings with mechanical, electrical, and embedded software engineers, supply chain, and manufacturing partners. • Ensure change control, project development milestone reviews, and other hardware development processes are implemented effectively. • Identify potential roadblocks and create and track mitigation plans. • Coordinate successful and timely product introduction and transition to mass production. • Manage product lifecycle activities, including AVL/AML, revisions, obsolescence management, and EOL. • Consolidate demand forecasts to develop production schedules and issue purchase orders. • Oversee contract manufacturers and EMS partners through prototype, pilot runs, and mass production. • Manage BOMs, component lead times, sourcing risks, and inventory levels. • Manage costs, vendor negotiations, and resource allocation. • Provide senior management with updates on milestones, budgets, performance metrics, risks, and mitigation plans.

🎯 Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of hands-on HW technical project management experience. • PMP certification. • Proven proficiency with project management and scheduling software, e.g. Microsoft Project. • Proven proficiency managing HW production and quality control, including ISO9001 processes, CAPAs, and SCAR. • Proven proficiency tracking and managing development and production costs. • Proven proficiency managing EMS partners, BOM, lead-times, inventory levels, production schedules, costs, and quality control. • Strong understanding of the hardware engineering lifecycle, including schematics, PCB design, validation, production, and configuration management. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels. • US location; East Coast time zone preferred.
