📋 Description

• Build and evaluate AI agent systems to automate statistical analysis and clinical development workflows • Work directly with pharma and biotech organizations as a forward-deployed biostatistics subject matter expert • Create benchmarks measuring agent performance on trial design, SAP development, and submission-quality statistical deliverables • Improve agent performance with the internal AI engineering team • Understand partners’ statistical methodology, study design conventions, and regulatory requirements • Improve LLM agents’ ability to execute coherent statistical analysis and trial design tasks in scientific environments and customer data infrastructures • Design benchmarks, acceptance criteria, and failure modes for complex biostatistical tasks • Partner with client biostatisticians and clinical development leaders on AI applications for statistical and regulatory deliverables • Serve as statistical authority on AI-generated outputs, evaluating accuracy and regulatory soundness • Identify failure modes and determine what warrants further investigation • Partner with GTM and account executives to scope engagements, define success metrics, and support pre-sales technical evaluation • Build trusted relationships with customer biostatisticians and research leaders

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in biostatistical applications within biotech or pharma (sponsor or CRO) • Graduate degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related discipline • Proven expertise in crafting SAPs, determining sample sizes, and designing early-phase (I/II) clinical trials • Proficiency in R and/or SAS • Experience in therapeutic areas such as oncology, immuno-oncology, immunology, cardiovascular, neurology, or hepatology (MASH) preferred • Deep familiarity with ICH and FDA regulatory standards • Direct experience with CSRs, IND filings, and CDISC-compliant datasets (SDTM/ADaM) • Prior experience in an industry or client-facing context, outside of academia • Ability to travel domestically 20–40% of the time • Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript is a bonus • Proficiency in statistical programming and validation, with ability to QC or independently reproduce an analysis if necessary
