🎯 Requirements

• Substantial hands-on experience in US charitable grantmaking; depth of experience matters more than years • Deep working knowledge of domestic 501(c)(3) grants, grants to non-charities, grants to individuals, international grantmaking including recipient-country law, public charity lobbying limits, and DAF rules • Experience structuring non-standard grants and building compliant paths for high-risk, high-impact grants • Track record of turning a manual operation into a streamlined or automated one while retaining appropriate judgment • Calibrated judgment to make and defend hard calls and recognize when external counsel is needed • Credibility to advise Program Officers and Heads of Funds through expertise rather than authority • Experience managing and developing people, with enthusiasm for coaching a growing team • US resident able to act on behalf of the organization where a US-based person is required • Full-time availability • Familiarity with effective altruism cause areas is a bonus • Experience running a fellowship or individual-grants program at scale is a bonus • Experience standing up a DAF, c4, or other non-standard grantmaking vehicle is a bonus
