📋 Description

• Investigate events, systems, devices, and failures ethically and scientifically • Provide expert opinions • Provide guidance and leadership on complex engineering assignments • Deliver engineering and expert consulting services • Investigate and assess complex mechanical failures • Perform engineering failure analysis involving mechanical systems • Prepare comprehensive engineering analyses for clients • Potentially provide expert witness testimony • Travel locally or regionally and work in varied environments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university • Professional Engineer (PE) license required for the resident state • Expertise in commercial, residential, and industrial mechanical system failure analysis • Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, piping, boilers, chillers, water intrusion, and industrial machinery • Ability to work in a variety of environments • Ability to travel locally or regionally • Preferably reside within 150 miles of Charlotte, NC • Multi-state licensing and/or active NCEES Record preferred • Forensic engineering experience preferred • Expert witness testimony experience is a plus • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods • Ability to kneel, squat, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, reach, and work overhead • Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds • Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds • Ability to drive up to 4 hours per day • Clear and conceptual thinking ability, excellent judgment and discretion • Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities, and deadlines
