📋 Description

• Investigate and assess equipment-specific damages caused by failures and determine failure origins for insurers and litigation • Document failure analysis and causation using root cause analysis, measured data, and numerical models • Provide expert consultation in accordance with inspection procedures and regulatory requirements • Estimate repair and replacement costs to restore equipment to pre-loss condition • Facilitate equipment recovery with decontamination firms and original equipment manufacturers • Produce detailed reports describing the cause and origin of losses and damages • Testify in court as an expert witness regarding evidence analysis and conclusions • Serve as a commercial equipment loss consultant, investigating causes of loss and recovery options • Document and maintain billable hours on a time-and-expense basis • Adhere to quality assurance measures and accreditation standards • Collaborate with sales and operations managers, architects, developers, insurance adjusters, claims managers, and attorneys to develop demand for professional services • Travel as required • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Seven (7) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred • Experience with engineering reporting preferred • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills • PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products • Analytical and interpretive skills • Strong organizational skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate, and constructive written reports • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies • Clear and conceptual thinking ability • Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analysis, and discretion • Ability to handle work-related stress and multiple priorities simultaneously • Ability to meet deadlines • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time • Ability to kneel, squat, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, reach, and work overhead • Ability to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather conditions • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds • Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds • Ability to drive up to 4 hours per day
