📋 Description

• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate service options for injured workers • Assist injured workers in receiving appropriate, cost-effective medical care and expedite return to work • Communicate with medical providers, employers, injured workers, and claims examiners • Perform complete nursing evaluations and determine patient needs • Review and evaluate medical correspondence, provider reports, and treatment plan history • Evaluate claimants’ clinical status and research alternative treatment options when warranted • Arrange authorized transportation, care, procedures, medication, equipment, supplies, and home care services • Evaluate therapy facilities and monitor patient care plans and therapy progress • Prepare comprehensive case-file notes and discuss care plans with insurance representatives before implementation • Coordinate information among injured workers, physicians, employers, therapists, attorneys, and other providers • Monitor and modify care plans as patient and physician needs change

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing • 3-5 years clinical experience as an RN outside of school • Valid CA RN license in good standing with no restrictions • Valid state-appropriate RN license in good standing with no restrictions • Professional and technical skills of a Registered Nurse • Experience in Case Management • Workers' Compensation experience preferred, but not required • Experience in Home Health Care or Occupational Health considered a plus • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills • High comfort level with computers and computer programs, including MS Word, MS Excel, and email • Bilingual Spanish preferred
