📋 Description

• Maintain continuous learning and the highest level of technical expertise in the assigned therapeutic area • Engage in scientific exchange and respond to customers' diverse medical information needs • Establish credibility as a reliable, trusted source of unbiased, accurate, and up-to-date medical and scientific information • Conduct customer-facing activities as a primary interface between Lilly Medical and scientific/clinical experts • Enhance customer engagement through emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and customer understanding • Connect scientific and clinical experts with Lilly resources and internal business partners • Facilitate collaborative research and external opportunities • Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic territory plans • Prioritize core MSL activities and take accountability for results • Coordinate compliantly with Lilly field roles sharing customers • Use territory analytics for customer identification and routing prioritization • Synthesize and communicate actionable customer and clinical insights to internal medical and cross-functional teams • Make sound decisions and escalate issues as appropriate • Cultivate internal networks and collaborate across functions with field-based colleagues • Adapt to evolving business needs and use innovative resources • Contribute to team goals and act as an effective teammate • Execute the role compliantly in accordance with governing requirements, procedures, and laws

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD in a medically related field) required • 2-3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experience desired • A master's or bachelor's-level degree in health sciences (e.g., BSN, RPh, PA, NP) considered if 5 or more years of clinical, research, or industry experience in the relevant therapeutic area is present • Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record required • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • Ability to travel up to 80% • Ability to work up to 4 to 6 weekends a year • Should live near a transport hub (airport/train station) • Intellectual curiosity about the relevant field of science/medicine • Learning agility to comprehend and communicate complex scientific content clearly and concisely • Self-directed and able to work alone in the field while managing multiple priorities and projects • Advanced presentation and computer skills with expertise in literature identification • Strategic and critical thinking to analyze and evaluate information and interpret future impact or relevance • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to use field-based electronic or other communication tools • Resiliency in managing complex challenges • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, including emotional intelligence and professional relationship building/networking • Experience servicing customer needs for complex information • Significant experience in professional networking with mutually beneficial outcomes • Experience in a field-based working environment highly valued • Familiarity with health systems, academic communities, medical research, and medical education processes highly valued • Hematology therapeutic area experience strongly preferred
