📋 Description

• Lead the Contracts department and own the end-to-end life cycle of customer, site, and vendor study-level contracts, associated budgets, and Investigator grants • Define, manage, and continuously improve contract development, negotiation, and execution processes • Partner with Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Legal on contracting and budgeting • Serve as primary liaison and escalation point for contracting and budgeting inquiries • Prioritize contracting and budgeting pipelines based on study start-up timelines and revenue targets • Lead negotiation and execution of contracts, change orders, amendments, and associated budgets • Collaborate with Operations and Finance to meet financial objectives and maintain cash neutrality • Review finance terms in master-level agreements with Legal • Approve and sign contractual and budget instruments within delegated authority • Establish and maintain contract and budget templates • Maintain contract and revenue information in Salesforce, SharePoint, and other approved systems • Develop metrics and dashboards for executive visibility into contracting and budgeting performance • Support third-party vendor management and oversee vendor contracts • Hire, develop, train, and lead the Contracts team • Harmonize legacy processes and streamline contracting across business lines

🎯 Requirements

• Subject matter expertise in contract negotiation, particularly finance terms and cash neutrality • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills • Clear and concise written and oral communication skills • High attention to detail and financial accuracy • Ability to work across functional groups and employee levels • Ability to work independently and collaborate on quality solutions • Proactive and timely follow-up skills • Proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field • 10+ years of experience directly related to contract management in the clinical research industry, including preparing clinical-trial contracts and budgets • 5+ years of direct managerial experience • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Proficiency with Salesforce and SharePoint • Advanced Excel experience • Proven ability to develop clinical-trial budgets, including Investigator Grants • Ability to work in a home-office environment and perform required job duties, including prolonged computer use • Ability to travel approximately 5% as required
