📋 Description

• Lead the strategic direction, operational performance, and ongoing optimization of enterprise clinical application portfolios. • Provide strategic leadership for Epic and third-party clinical applications supporting inpatient, ambulatory, home care, and ancillary care delivery. • Translate clinical and operational needs into application strategy, prioritization, and execution plans. • Own the clinical roadmap for assigned Epic clinical domains, including upgrades and adoption of new functionality. • Lead participation in Epic programs such as Gold Stars, Honor Roll, and Staying Current. • Establish an Epic-first optimization approach while integrating and governing third-party clinical systems. • Ensure clinical application services support patient safety, regulatory compliance, operational resilience, data integrity, and interoperability. • Drive modernization initiatives to reduce cognitive burden, streamline documentation, improve decision support, and enhance clinician usability. • Partner with Revenue Cycle Applications leadership and other IT leaders to govern shared functionality, platforms, and dependencies. • Establish multiyear clinical application strategies and roadmaps balancing innovation, technical debt reduction, stability, and sustainability. • Represent the Clinical Applications portfolio in enterprise planning, governance, and prioritization forums. • Lead, coach, and develop managers and senior staff; oversee talent, succession, performance, staffing, and retention. • Manage portfolio operations, demand, capacity, investments, service performance, risks, dependencies, budgets, forecasts, costs, and value realization. • Establish Agile, ITIL-aligned, product-oriented, and outcome-focused delivery practices. • Build trusted relationships with clinical, business, executive, nursing, provider, informatics, and operational stakeholders. • Communicate portfolio priorities, performance, risks, dependencies, tradeoffs, and changes affecting patient care or operations.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field, or equivalent substantial progressive work experience, certifications, and education. • Epic certification in multiple modules relevant to portfolio responsibilities. • ITIL Foundation Certification within 6 months of hire. • Minimum of seven (7) years of combined IT/Healthcare experience. • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing Epic applications. • Experience leading clinical application portfolios and enterprise technology strategy. • Experience with Epic clinical applications supporting inpatient, ambulatory, home care, and ancillary care. • Knowledge of clinical workflows, regulatory requirements, patient safety, interoperability, and clinical application optimization. • Ability to lead managers and senior staff and oversee hiring, development, succession, retention, performance, and staffing. • Work shift: M-F Days, with occasional after-hours work.
