• Perform detailed on-site surveys and audits of client sites, including K-12 schools, higher education, federal, corrections, healthcare, and other facilities • Accurately document existing conditions in predetermined software • Develop scopes of work and perform energy calculations for existing and proposed conditions • Manage projects from concept through completion, coordinating teams and stakeholders while meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards • Identify and solve complex mechanical problems • Work closely with senior staff under close supervision, with work reviewed frequently • Help plan projects or subtasks within assigned responsibilities • May lead technical staff and subcontractors • Keep multiple projects organized and accurate across development stages • Communicate project status and details to management • Research new technologies and industry trends to improve products and processes • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science, focused on electrical, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering or construction management • Prior work in the Construction or Energy Services (Performance Contracting) industry is a plus • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel and Word • Driver's license • General knowledge of auditing: Domestic water, Process Water, Steam, Building Envelope, HVAC Armor, Demand Control Ventilation, and others • Strong understanding of engineering principles • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret energy consumption data • General knowledge of water and energy scope and documentation • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and project management skills • Meticulous attention to detail and organization • Ability to stay current with evolving energy technologies, regulations, and industry best practices • Understanding of ROI, payback period, and life cycle cost analysis • General knowledge of estimating practices • Ability to utilize predetermined RFP and bid procedures • Able to walk/stand for long periods of time • Able to go up and down stairs • Willingness and ability to travel 75% around the country • Ability to work in dirty, loud, dimly lit mechanical and machine room spaces and exposure to varied environmental conditions
